Members of Turkish Parliament Commission visited IUS

The Commission for the inner-political issues of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey visited the International University of Sarajevo within the official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina today, 25.05.2012.

The delegation was led by Second Secretary of the Embassy of Turkey Ismail Altunal with five members of the National Assembly of Turkey.

The delegation arrived in Sarajevo at the invitation by the Commission for Internal Affairs of BiH Parliament.

The Turkish parliamentary delegation was welcomed by the IUS Rector Professor. Dr. Özer Çınar, who gave welcoming remarks the guests, expressing gratitude for their visit.

"Education is one of supports on which we need to build the Bosnian nation and we need to invest in young people who will lead us in this country to a better future.

We believe that this country, an example of coexistence of different cultures, religions and nations, but which was destroyed by war, is to be completely rebuilt, "said Alpaslan Kavaklıoğlu, Member of Turkish Parliament's Commission, noting that the Republic of Turkey and its institutions clearly support BiH on its path of development and that this support will continue in the future.

Kavaklıoğlu and other members of the delegation did not hide their pleasure with the visit to our University.
