Member of the Turkish State Parliament visited IUS

Delegation of the Republic of Turkey visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) as part of their regular visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, December 11th 2015. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu welcomed distinguished guests with his associates in the Rectorate. The member of Parliament of the Turkish Republic, Ahmet Sorgun, together with Vice Rector of the Necmettin Erbakan University, Prof. Dr. Önder Kutlu and Honorary Consul of the Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Konya (Turkey), Ercan Uslu led the delegation to IUS. Director and Vice President of the Egitim organization, Ismail Saylik and Latif Selvi, along with the delegate of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanel Mušović attended the meeting as well.

During the meeting, Rector Oğurlu talked about successful cooperation between the city of Sarajevo and the city of Konya, and briefly presented information about the University, its history, newly opened faculties as well as successfully established international cooperation with many international institutions and organizations in the higher education field. Distinguished guests were very pleased to visit the IUS and impressed with the facilities and success of the University. They have expressed hope that in the future mutual cooperation between IUS and institutions from Turkey will be established. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Prof. Dr. Fuat Gürcan and Secretary General of the IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić.
