Lecture: When Feminism and Religion Encounter

On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the Conference Room of International University of Sarajevo, a Stanford University Researcher, Zilka Spahić Šiljak, gave a lecture on the topic: When Feminism and Religion Encounter.

In the crowded conference room, a lively discussion of gender policies took place when it comes to these two concepts, citing examples of all three monotheistic religions. Ms. Spahić Šiljak shared her abundant experience in her research area.

Zilka Spahić Šiljak holds PhD in gender studies, runs TPO Foundation Sarajevo, and teaches at several universities in BiH and abroad. She has published books on the topic of gender studies, and her current research at Stanford University focuses on intersection of leadership, gender and politics.
