IUS visited by Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Serdar Çam and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Sadık Babür Girgin

The President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Serdar Çam, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Sadık Babür Girgin and the director of Yunus Emre Institute Mr. Mehmet Akif Yaman visited today International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The guests were welcomed by the IUS Rector Prof.Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım who presented the university and its system of education. The Deputy Minister and Rector also discussed the best practices when it comes to establishing new universities in different countries and they both agreed that international double diploma programs are very beneficial programs because they offer both national and international experience at two universities with two diplomas. IUS is a university offering such a program between Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul University and International University of Sarajevo.

Furthermore, Mr. Çam emphasized the importance of continuous TIKA donations in the education and research sector. One of such TIKA donations equipped IUS Cezeri fabrication lab in the IUS Research and Development Center with cutting-edge 3D printers, DLP/SLA 3D printers, 3D scanners, CNC router and many other useful devices and machines.

The guests expressed their contentment with the presented facilities and resources that current and future students meet with during their education at IUS.
