IUS Took Part in Round Table “Mobility and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications in BiH”

In October 2017, Center for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in BiH (CIP) organized a round table in Mostar, titled “Academic Mobility and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications in BiH“.

The goal of the two-day meeting was the exchange of experiences and good practices in implementation of Erasmus+ project, to identify the problems and deficiencies in the process of recognition of foreign qualifications in our country. The participants of the round table were the representatives of National Erasmus+ office in BiH, state institutions, ministries, higher education institutions, and the guest representatives of Erasmus+ offices from Serbia and Croatia.

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) was represented by deputy secretary general of IUS, faculty secretaries, and managers of International Relations Office, Student Affairs and Quality Assurance Office.

Deputy Secretary General Muhamed Semiz in his presentation talked about his experiences in the process of recognition of foreign qualifications at the IUS. Lamija Hadžimurtezić, International Relations Office manager, emphasized in the gathering that last year as many as 208 IUS students and staff took part in Erasmus+ exchange, which is a record number taking into account the total number of students at the IUS. This is also a great success for our university due to the fact that the IUS is a relatively young university.
