For organization of this event approximately half a million BAM were spent. Five kilometers of the city streets were covered with Bosnian and Turkish flags, where along with police officers in police uniforms on duty were also children from Zenica schools. On this occasion, about 6,000 children, who learn Turkish in their schools, arrived to Zenica from all parts of our country. Hosts of the event prepared for them the same number of packages with variety of gifts and surprises, including Bosnian and Turkish flags.

Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu supported this important event this year as well and awarded certificates for scholarships to high school students in the amount of 50% and 100%. Also more than 100 children from the First Private Primary School 'Isa-beg Ishaković' from Sarajevo came with their teachers to this great event. '' This year IUS provided more than 1,000 scholarships for the best students. This is our way of supporting all young people who want to educate themselves further '' - said the Rector Oğurlu during his short address to the children and guests in Zenica.

''Last year, this event was held in Sarajevo, and this year in Zenica. The reason for it is the number of children who wish to participate in the event and we decided to do it in the newest sports center in Zenica, "said Mehmet Akif Yaman, Director of the Turkish Cultural Centre Yunus Emre in Sarajevo. He also reminded that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, announced that 23 April 1920, a foundation day of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, is a "gift to all children". Since then, the International Children Day has become one of the most important holidays in Turkey.
