IUS Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Cultural Center King Fahd Sarajevo

On December 29, 2016, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between IUS and King Fahd Cultural Center Sarajevo at the premises of IUS Rectorate. The Memorandum was signed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe and the Director of King Fahd Center Assist. Dr. Mohammed Al Alshaykh. Among the guests from the King Fahd Centre were also: the Secretary of the Center Mr. Muamer Haj Hamd, Coordinator for Arabic language courses Mr. Ibrahim Tulić and PR representative Prof. Fikret Mehović. Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali, Advisor to and Representative of Rector, was also present.

The subject matter of the memorandum were the Arabic language courses which King Fahd centre organizes within IUS-Life Lifelong learning center facilities. The King Fahd centre agreed to provide instructors and books for Arabic language courses for all IUS students and staff interested to study Arabic. The evening courses and the books are offered two times a week and free of charge. So far, more than 60 students applied for the courses, and 2 groups of students are already attending these courses at A0 and A1 levels.

The present parties expressed the willingness to continue offering Arabic language courses until the end of this academic year, provided that there is interest on behalf of IUS students. At the end, the IUS Rector thanked the guests for their visit and expressed hope that the IUS students will show great willingness and motivation for studying Arabic language.
