On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, the opening ceremony of the renowned International Symposium entitled ''Turbulence, Heat and Mass Transfer 2015 (THMT 15)'' was held in Officer's Hall (Dom Oružanih snaga BiH) in Sarajevo. This Symposium is held under the auspices of the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT, Global Association headquartered in Ankara) in cooperation with the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). More than 200 participants from 32 countries such as Australia, Japan, America, Asia and other countries in Europe registered and attended this year’s symposium. On behalf of the IUS, Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu welcomed all participants. ''I am honored to be able to welcome you at this remarkable Symposium that truly justifies the name ''international''. Respectable academics, scientists, researchers and experts from various fields around the world came together to discuss different topics in science at this important event. In the next few days, you will have a unique opportunity to follow many lectures, presentations and discussions of world-renowned authors such as Kerri Emanuel, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and many others'' - said Rector Oğurlu. Besides Rector Oğurlu, on this occasion, Mayor of the city of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ivo Komšić welcomed distinguished participants and gave a speech as an honorary guest.
