IUS as the only private university from B&H participated at the Workshop For Establishment and Capacity Building Of University Career Centers In Abroad Communities

The "Workshop For Establishment And Capacity Building Of University Career Centers In Abroad Communities" took place in Istanbul Technical University Ayazaga Campus between November 14-16. State universities from Somalia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Senegal, Kazakhstan and as the only private university, IUS from Bosnia-Herzegovina took part in the workshop.

The issues covered were capacity building for career development centers, their current practices and problems, and a model on which to build such a center. This very important Workshop was organized by the Career and Talent Management Association (an NGO created for the purposes of recognition and regularization of the work of career and talent developers in Turkey and abroad), with the oversight of Associate Professor Dr. Salim Atay, and supported by TIKA. Also, present at the Workshop were representatives of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities and Yunus Emre Foundation. As part of the Workshop, Jean-Jacques Ruppert of the Applied Vocational Psychology and Policy Research Unit (www.avopp.lu) discussed "Counselling for the Future" with the participants.

On Monday, November 16, 2016, all participants took part in the TÜMKAF 2016 Engineering Career Fair. IUS representatives Ms. Indira Hasanovic and Ms. Zühal Güvener consulted with many companies regarding internship opportunities for IUS FENS students, including giants such as Mercedes Benz Türkiye and Toyota SA.
