IUS Got Talent Show 2015

IUS Got Talent Show 2015 was held on 29 April 2015. The show was organized by English Language and Literature Program of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. IUS students were invited to demonstrate their talents and skills in different areas (ranging from singing, acting, reciting, to playing instruments). The purpose of the show was to encourage IUS students to be creative and to inspire them to pursue different forms of artistic expression. 

The jury members were the following: Prof. Dr. Metin Toprak, Prof. Dr. Mesut Idriz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Joseph Jon Kaminski, Assist. Prof. Dr. Lejla Miller, Assist. Prof. Dr. Almasa Mulalic and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayla Arslan. Ten contestants participated in the show. They all impressed packed audience of the main IUS amphitheatre with their talents and skills. The participants were the following IUS students: 1. Saira Tanković, 2. Emina Bašić, Mirza Rastoder and Emina Jusufbašić, 3. Ahmet Yɪldɪrɪm, 4. Samir Leskovac, 5. Dženana Brkić, 6. Selma Begić, 7. Neslişa Cevik, 8. Hilal Tecel, 9. Firdevs Kavas and 10. Mehmed Akkutuk. 

Jury members had a very difficult task of deciding who will be the winners of this year's show. Finally, they decided to award the following contestants: Mehmed Akkutuk won the third place with his emotional reciting (150 KM); Saira Tanković, who sang and played guitar, was the second (250 KM); and the winners of IUS Got Talent Show 2015 are Emina Bašić, Mirza Rastoder and Emina Jusufbašić who won 400 KM for their interesting performance about universal and infinite nature of music. In addition, all the participants in the show will have free dinner at one of the local restaurants. 

English Language and Literature Program offers its congratulations to all participants in the show and especially to the top three contestants. We would also like to make a special mention of ELIT student Dženana Brkić, who moved the audience with the beautiful and heart touching reciting of her own poem written in English. Dženana, we are proud of you!
