IUS and the University of Sarajevo enhance academic collaboration

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and the University of Sarajevo signed an Agreement on Academic Cooperation in late December. The goal, as stated in the Agreement, is to promote academic, educational and cultural cooperation.

The agreement states that institutional cooperation will be developed through special programs and activities such as networking and mutual exchange of teachers, researchers, students and other, visits and exchange of experiences, followed by joint participation and application to funds intended for educational, research and artistic activities as well as joint activities in education, training and / or research.

In addition, the cooperation of these two educational institutions will be implemented through the joint organization of conferences, symposia, congresses, seminars, courses, summer schools and workshops. Both universities will cooperate by exchanging professional literature, textbooks and other university publications, as well as in the development of information of mutual interest and through many other activities.

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS), founded in 2003, is located in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded by the “Foundation for Education Development“ Sarajevo, and consists of five faculties and 21 study programs. According to a Webometrics report published in January 2020, IUS was the best private university in BiH for the third time. Also, IUS is positioned as the fourth best of all public and private higher education institutions.
