IUS at 15th Annual Architecture Students Congress: Ask 2017

The 15th annual Architecture Students Congress: ASK 2017 was held in November 2017 in Niš, Serbia, and the topic was “Discrepancy.” 

Universities from Belgrade, Banja Luka, Niš, Novi Sad, Podgorica, Kosovska Mitrovica and two Universities from Sarajevo participated in this event. Students had the opportunity to attend lectures of renowned architects, join architectural tours under professional guidance, present their projects on the given topic and take part in a workshop.

A selected group of students of the IUS Architecture Program, mentored by Assist. Prof. Lamila Simišić Pašić and Assist. Prof. Leila Krivošić Dizdarević, participated in the Congress with their project on the topic of discrepancies between the planned and build, proposed and accepted, focusing on the much talked area of Marijin Dvor in Sarajevo as an example of the architectural hotpoint in the last 20 years. The project was recognized as outstanding, gaining approval from other participating Universities.

The students who participated in this year’s ASK Congress and Workshop were Emina Mustafić, Amina Ascerić, Ajla Gledilo, Amna Marić, Yusuf Ozkurtulus, Ahmet Yazici and Enes Tekin.
