Ismail Ćidić participated in the WARP Peace Summit in South Korea


Ismail Ćidić, a senior Political Science student, represented Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International University of Sarajevo at the 4th WARP Peace Summit in South Korea on September 17-22, 2018.

Summit gathered thousands of participants and peace activists including the representatives from more than 100 countries across the world.

During the Summit, the participants discussed the overall importance of peace, represented their countries at the Peace Festival in front of over 50 thousand people at the Incheon Stadium, and supported the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) that was presented by the South Korean HWPL organization.

"We know very well what the consequences of war are and what the importance of peace is. Therefore, we have a huge responsibility to present our story all around the world", said Ismail.

This year, the Balkan region was also represented by the former Chairman of Bosnian Council of Ministers Zlatko Lagumdžija and former presidents of Croatia Ivo Josipović and Stjepan Mesić.
