International Conference on Migrations towards EU and Balkans Opened at IUS

The 3rd International Conference of Faculty of Business and Administration titled “Irregular Migration towards EU and Balkan Countries” was opened at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on April 27, 2017. IUS Rector Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe, Rector of İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi Dr. Mehmet Bulut, and Rector of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül Üniversitesi Dr. Süleyman Özdemir had the honor to open the conference. Their addresses were followed by the keynote speech of Mr. Jan Psenica, the ambassador of Slovakia to BiH.

“As the rector of this institution, I am very proud to see the IUS jointly organizing this activity with these two universities. This conference is the achievement of the international cooperation we continue to strive to carry out and nourish at the IUS”, said Dr. Türe. He also extended his appreciation to H.E. Jan Psenica for being the keynote speaker, who spoke on the topic of the Irregular Migrations from the perspectives of the EU and Slovakia, as well as other great challenges which the Union is facing nowadays.

The papers which arrived for the Conference were in the fields of Economics, Management, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law, Psychology, Sociology, Education, History, Tourism and Theology. Participants of the conference are from 33 universities from 8 different countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Poland, Slovakia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Macedonia.  The papers will be presented in English, but also in Turkish and in languages of BiH.

The presentations will be delivered on April 27 and 28, and the program will continue with the two days of social activities, including the visit to Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar.
