Head of EUPM in BiH gives lecture to IUS students

Social and Political Sciences program (SPS) of the IUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences organized on April 8, 2010 first lecture of the Academic Series in the Spring Semester 2010 titled “Sustainability in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The lecture was held in the IUS Conference Hall by Mr. Stefan Feller, Head of the Mission of European Union Police Mission (EUPM) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the beginning of his lecture, Mr. Feller showed how the crisis management of the European Union has grown in the past couple of years, as well as tried to answer question on how to deal with the crisis management. He then proceeded with giving the definition of term “sustainability” and areas it can be applied to, emphasizing that this term is very important word for what EUPM does.

After giving short insight into the history and development of EUPM since its establishment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Feller sent message to the IUS students. “EUPM is a guest in this country, nothing more. Citizens of Bosnian and Herzegovina are the future of this country” Mr. Feller said.

Lecture ended with a question-answer session between Mr. Feller and IUS students, after which Token of appreciation for the distinguished guest was given by the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş.
