The greatest Erasmus+ grant given to IUS so far

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) received  an Erasmus+ grant within the framework of established cooperation with Istanbul Şehir University in Istanbul (Turkey) for scholarships. The grants will be given to 20 undergraduate students, 5 academics and 5 administrative staff for academic year of 2016/17 and 2017/18. This represents a remarkable achievement and a significant international cooperation for the IUS, given the number of exchanges that will be realized in the future.

It is expected that in spring semester 4 members of administrative and academic staff of the IUS will already be given the opportunity for professional training. IUS academics will be able to establish new contacts for participation in innovative research activities with outstanding and qualified staff of this prestigious Turkish University.

Additionally, 10 IUS students will stay at Istanbul Şehir University where they will be able to gain and exchange useful experience, acquire new skills and knowledge in various fields of study. With its rich infrastructure of 6 faculties, 3 institutes, 3 university campuses and several colleges, the University offers excellent conditions for studying. It is important to mention that all classes are conducted in English and given mostly by academic staff that obtained their university degrees in the United States of America. In addition to academic achievements, students who are taking part in this exchange program will gain and experience a significant difference in their cultural and social life. Istanbul Şehir University offers many attractive activities for the international students who come from 78 countries around the world. Students who are taking part in the exchange program will get to know other cultures, gain new experiences and independence for their future endeavors. This will inevitably leave the greatest mark on the lives of these young people.

Cooperation with the Istanbul Şehir University was realized on the initiative of the IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe with coordination of the International Relations Offices of the Istanbul Şehir University and the IUS.
