Graduation ceremony for Class 2011

Wednesday, June 8, 2011 was a very special day for the International University of Sarajevo and the community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Balkans. After the Opening of the IUS Lab building and Ground-breaking for the second IUS Faculty building, program continued with the Graduation Ceremony for the Class 2011 of Undergraduate and Master candidates of International University of Sarajevo. Several hundreds of guests from country and abroad gathered for this ceremony.

The program was opened with the welcome speech by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Hilmi Ünlü who provided guests with a valuable insight into the mission and vision, as well as history of our University. Speeches by top students - Ms. Aida Bulbul from the Faculty of Business and Administration and Ms. Hatun Sevgi from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - followed. Both students expressed their happiness with having an opportunity to be IUS student.

In order to award those students who studied hard during the past four years and accomplished top results at their Faculties and University as a whole, following students received special signs of honor from the Rector, IUS Board of Trustee Members and Foundation for Education Development Members:

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences - Minela Jusović, Emine Rumeysa Cetiner and Fatma Betul Acun.

Faculty of Business and Administration – Aida Bulbul, Irfan Strika and Nadja Dreca

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences – Hatun Sevgi, Ayse Kaya and Feyza Cetin.

Ms. Minela Jusović was also awarded as the top student at the University with the grade average of maximum 4.00.

The program ended with the concert by famous Bosnian singer Armin Muzaferija and refreshments organized on the terrace of the main IUS Faculty Building.
