Gender Equality: IUS Started Successful Cooperation with University of East Sarajevo

On March 15, 2018, coordinator of SAGE project Assist. Dr. Jasminka Hasić Telalović and Project Assistant Mirza Rastoder visited the University of East Sarajevo (UIS). As part of the Horizon2020 SAGE project, IUS received a grant from the Ministry of Civil Affairs for its project on gender equality in higher education, and the visit marked the official beginning of that project.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dejan Bokonjić, the vice-rector for international, inter-university cooperation and quality assurance of the University of East Sarajevo, and by Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Goran Marković and Doc. Dr. Radislav Lale, who are both professors at the UIS Faculty of Law.

Dr. Hasić Telalović, SAGE project coordinator, introduced everyone present with the activities that the IUS implements within its gender equality plan framework. The vice-deans talked about their experience in these matters and said that they have also had similar activities at the UIS, and that they expect very fruitful cooperation in this area.

The University of East Sarajevo has accepted to be part of the IUS project and is ready for joint activities.

The meeting with the University of East Sarajevo is the first in a series of meetings which SAGE team will have with public universities as part of its gender equality in higher education project.
