Former Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Selmo Cikotic held a lecture at IUS

Former Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Selmo Cikotic held a lecture at the International University of Sarajevo on November 28, 2012.

Lecture on "NATO attitude towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and Balkans" was held in the amphitheater of the IUS. Prof. Dr. Cikotic presented professors and students the process of accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO as well as the importance of membership in this organization. Also, he explained that to fulfill the requirements for NATO it is determined that 63 prospective locations need to be formally transferred to the Armed Forces.

Dr. Selmo Cikotić is a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University in Sarajevo. He also served as military attaché at the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United States in Washington, USA.

He published a number of articles, translated a lot of military manuals and studies, from English to Bosnian. His two books, "THE USA – BIH, POSSIBLE TRANSFER OF SECURITY SOLUTIONS" and "SECURITY PROSPECTIVES OF BOSNIA AND HERCEGOVINA" were published in 2010.

Dr. Selmo Cikotić is the Dean of American School of Government at American University in B&H and professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University in Sarajevo. He also served as military attaché at the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United States in Washington, USA.
