First Retirement Party Held at IUS

On Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, the academic staff of Department of Arts hosted a farewell party for Assist. Prof. Nermina Zildžo, to mark her retirement.

The party was attended by many staff members of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and VACD department, along with colleagues from the University. Dr. Meliha Teparić presented Prof. Zildžo with gift, prepared by her colleagues.

“IUS has finally produced its first academician who is going to hard-earned and well-deserved retirement. I believe that I am the proof of our University’s maturity”, stated Prof. Zildžo.

Prof. Zildžo was for many years the curator of the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo. In her international academic and professional career, she has also been a member of International Association of Art Critics (AICA), whilst she has been a member of AICA USA section since 1996. We expect that Prof. Zildžo will continue to be present at the International University of Sarajevo part time at least for one more semester.

On behalf of the International University of Sarajevo collective, we use this opportunity to wish her a happy retirement.
