ERC Grants for Frontier Research

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) invited Dr. Slávka Otčenášová, a seconded national expert to the European Research Council Executive Agency (ERCEA), to visit IUS and speak about “ERC Grants for Frontier Research”. Prior to joining the European Research Council Executive Agency, Dr. Otčenášová was an assistant professor at the Department of History, Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia, where she conducted research in the areas of collective identity and collective memory, history textbooks and oral history.

The mission of the European Research Executive Agency (ERCEA) is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields, on the basis of scientific excellence. The agency complements other funding activities in Europe such as those of the national research funding agencies. It is also a flagship component of Horizon 2020.

IUS faculty, staff and guests from University of Banja Luka and University of Sarajevo attended the presentation.
