On March 21st 2014, “The Environment Day” tree planting event was held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Campus Garden. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, the President of the IUS Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Hasan Zuhuri Sarıkaya, IUS academics, administrative staff and students from 3 faculties have planted 100 fruit trees at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Campus Garden.
“I’m glad to inform all that our event ‘’The Environment Day’’ has went very well. We have planted 100 fruit trees. The trees we have planted in our Campus Garden will inspire our future generation students. I believe that, students, academicians and administrative staff who were included for this project organization will take good care of our trees.” said IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu in his speech. When it comes to planted trees, Cherry and Peach trees were planted in the event of “The Environment Day”.
