Enhancing Quality at IUS – Practical workshops

IUS Quality Assurance Office held several workshops for IUS academic staff in the period from 25 to 27 September, 2018.

The workshops broadly dealt with defining student centered learning (SCL) approach reflected in curriculum and syllabi design. More specifically the topics discussed at the workshop included how to ensure clear descriptions of course content and intended learning outcomes.

“Main objective of these workshops was to engage academic personnel to develop a common understanding of student centered learning in the process of curricula and syllabi preparation. The importance of aligning learning outcomes with teaching methods and assessment was emphasized,” said Edina Hadžiahmetović, QA Office Manger”.

The large response of professors and assistants at the QA workshops has shown that they are ready to upgrade their acquired knowledge and experience. At the same time, the active participation of academic staff at the given workshop provided a significant contribution to the common understanding of the University policy in relation to quality assurance and international best practice in this field.
