Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić from the Mechanical Engineering program paid one week visit to Paul Sherrer Institute (PSI), the largest institute in Switzerland at the invitation of Dr. Bojan Niceno.
Dr. Bojan Niceno is the leader of Modeling and Simulation group of the Laboratory of Thermal-Hydraulics (LTH) at Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), and a lecturer on Computational Multiphase Thermal Fluid Dynamics at the ETH Zurich. Prof. Hadžiabdić used the opportunity to discuss about the future cooperation with the Paul Scherrer Institut. The meetings were also attended by the scientists from Novosibirsk Institute for Thermo Physics, with whom Prof. Hadžiabdić cooperated for the last 4 years. The three parties agreed concerning research cooperation in the area of multi-phase flows and combustion.
During the visit, Prof. Hadžiabdić gave a seminar to the Institute staff titled “Control of Flow around a Cylinder by Rotary Oscillations at a High Subcritical Re Number”.
