Dr. Martine F. Delfos holds lecture "Communication with children"

During her second visit to International University of Sarajevo, distinguished Dutch biopsychologist Dr. Martine F. Delfos held lecture "Communication with children" for the students of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. With the efforts and organization of Assist. Prof. Dr. Senija Tahirović, the lecture took place on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

This event represents a continuation of lecture on autism that Dr. Delfos gave to IUS students in May this year. "This time I wanted to go a little bit deeper into the topic" says Dr. Delfos, whose book "Are you listening to me? Communicating with children from four to twelve years old" is currently being translated into Bosnian language.

Dr. Delfos is also involved in a Fact Finding Mission on Autism in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Students from five universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including four students from IUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are also starting to participate in this research. For them this will be a valuable experience in dealing with the treatments of children and adolescents with autism.

Dr. Martine F. Delfos has published more than 50 books. Many of her books have been translated to different languages. More info on Dr. Delfos and her work can be found on www.mdelfos.nl
