Delegation of İstanbul Şehir University visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The delegation consisted of: Deputy Rector of İstanbul Şehir University, Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Büyükkara, Assist. Prof. Dr. İsmail Yaylacı and Dr. Ali Erken. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu welcomed distinguished quests in his office with associates Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Prof. Dr. Fuat Gürcan, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Secretary General, Emir Hadžikadunić and Assistant to Director of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), Armin Kerić. During the meeting, Rector Oğurlu talked about the university plans on expanding its capacity, the importance of student exchange programs, independent research projects, as well as the internationalization of the institution. Representatives of İstanbul Şehir University expressed satisfaction with their visit to IUS and discussed opportunities for cooperation, especially in the field of exchange of students and academic staff members.
