Charity for Aleppo

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, a humanitarian bazaar for the people of Aleppo was organized in the main hall of the IUS A building.

The initiator of the bazaar was the student club EMSA (European Muslim Students Association). By selling cookies and cakes made by our diligent students, the University professors, and others who support EMSA's activities, 522BAM was collected in matter of hours. The money was donated to the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and deposited to a special bank account for helping the Syrian refugees. Through this project, students and professors proved their deep sympathy with those stricken by war. The older generations recalled the latest war in Bosnia 1992 – 95, when we were receiving help from many different countries in the world.

EMSA members are very pleased with the bazaars success, and hereby wish to express their gratitude to everyone who took part in this activity.
