Summer school of innovation, geekFEST2017, gathered enthusiastic high school students, interested in technology and innovation, from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year's school lasted from August 14 until August 18, 2017, and was hosted at International University of Sarajevo. More than 50 students from different parts of BiH had a chance to attend five-days IT courses, free of charge.
Besides of working on particular projects, students attended inspiring lectures given by experts in industry and academia.
Students worked on the following projects: Health Way – BMI Tracker, IT BH, Explore BH, Grandma’s Bakery, Kids Fun, Paranoid, Quizotone, Flag Guesser, Simple Recipes, Great Proof, and presented their final works today.

Realization of this project has been partially sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America. On this occasion Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer Elizabeth Blumenthal, said: “I am impressed by the level of creativity, and hard work these young people did. I am happy that Embassy was able to support this important event“.
On the other hand, Dr. Jasminka Hasić Telalović emphasized that she hopes this event will inspire these young people to use all the potential they have.
“Their will to learn, and problem solving skills is really inspiring. I am proud that we helped them to open new door in their life and career. I will be extremely happy to hear about their success in the future.”
