“Balkan Youth School” opened at IUS

 

Balkan Studies Centre (BSC) of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) opened the Balkan Youth School, on Saturday, March 7th, 2020.

The ceremony was opened by our distinguished guests Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, HE Haldun Koc, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, and Mr. Murat Kazanci, Head of the Department for Social and Cultural Affairs.

The ceremony was also attended by the newly appointed Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, Mr. Anis Krivic. After the official opening of the school, Minister Krivic met with the Management of the International University of Sarajevo and representatives of the Board for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). This was an opportunity for Minister Krivic to become better acquainted with the future projects of IUS.

The Balkan Youth School is an educational platform in the humanities, social and religious sciences. The project will be implemented in the city of Sarajevo from February 2020 until April 2020. The Centre for Balkan Studies will also organize a study tour to Turkey.
