International University of Sarajevo (IUS) has boosted its international visibility and recognition in the academic 2017/2018 through new modules of academic, research and study mobility implemented with the support of the IUS International Relations Office.

The IUS Architecture program has realized the highest number of mobilities in the previous academic year with a total number of 22 people taking part in the Erasmus+ exchange.

Architecture Exchange Coordinator, Assist. Prof. Dr. Lamila Simišić has actively participated in all student application processes and her professional approach has significantly contributed to the success of the Architecture program in the scope of mobility. The involvement of Dr. Simišić and her colleagues in Erasmus+ activities has developed and enhanced the quality of education at this popular study program at IUS. It has opened up the door for possible cooperation with qualified academic staff from abroad and the development of new, creative scientific and research projects. IUS Professors hosted a number of foreign incoming students and staff who shared their knowledge and expertise with our University.

Prof. Luis Pinto de Faria from University Fernando Pessoa, Portugal was one of the guest professors who recently paid a visit to IUS within the scope of Erasmus+ program. On July 24, 2018, Prof. de Faria gave a lecture entitled "Purpose of Architecture" to the students of Architecture attending IUS Summer School.

Erasmus+ exchange created strong and positive dynamics within the Architecture program. The opportunities that were created through this program and the possibilities for research and studying in different environments will have a significant mark on our future activities at IUS," noted Exchange Coordinator Dr. Simišić.
