Ambassador Talk Ambassador of Pakistan visited IUS

The 3rd session of "Ambassador Talk" was organized by the International Relations Office (IRO) in collaboration with SPS and IR departments on Wednesday, March 19th 2014 in IUS Amphitheater. Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan HE Mr. Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery was the guest speaker and the theme of this session was "Pakistan from the Socio-Cultural and Foreign Policy Perspectives".

International Relations Office (IRO) in cooperation with the SPS department has organized the third consecutive session titled ''Ambassador Talk'' in the IUS Amphitheater on Wednesday 19th March. Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, HE Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery was a guest lecturer who talked about: Pakistan's foreign policy and socio-cultural perspectives.

HE Ambassador Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery used this opportunity to create a new image of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as a dynamic and multicultural country to professors and students of IUS through the presentation – information that is not available in media. He spoke about the strategic position of Pakistan through history, political and territorial arrangement, the legislative and executive authorities, as well as the economic development of this country.

HE Ambassador Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery said that ''Pakistan is known for producing textiles which makes 60 % of total exports of this sixth most populous country in the world (more than 200 million people). Five of fourteen peaks of the world that are higher than 8,000 meters are located in Pakistan.'' At the end of the lecture, the ambassador said that Pakistan is full of diversity and that's true wealth of this country like Bosnia and Herzegovina.''

The Secretary General of the IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić addressed the students and distinguished guests and he expressed the gratitude to the Ambassador for his lecture. IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu gave HE Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery a gift as a reminder of his visit.
