On Wednesday, December 21, 2016, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey H. E. Haldun Koc, the president of the SEDEF foundation Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu and IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe visited the first private primary school Isa-bey Ishaković.
Ambassador Koc mentioned that the quality education is very important for children but it also can be misused: „Terroristic organization FETO showed us how quality education can be misused. They tried to destroy the whole system of the country.“
Nezira Popovac, the director of Isa-bey Ishaković primary school, informed the guests about the school's history: „The school exists for more than 20 years, but since 2014, SEDEF foundation is its founder. Today, we have 216 students and we work on two programs. Most of the foreign students are from Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Slovenia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Emirates, Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia.“
Furthermore, she mentioned that this school is the only school in Bosnia and Herzegovina that offers four languages: English, Turkish, Arabic and German.
