AA interview with IUS Vice Rector

IUS Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel gave an interview to Anadolu news agency  (AA) about Fourth Consecutive “BHOI" Winter Youth Informatics Camp, He stated that this activity is aimed to develop the minds of future young academics and researchers. Fourth consecutive “BHOI" winter youth informatics Camp was held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) in the period from 25-29 of January 2016. This Camp is primarily designed in order to provide an opportunity for young people - high school students from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, to gain valuable experience, acquire additional skills in computer technology such as programming in C++, learn more about the binary tree, binary functions, dynamic programming, algorithms search graphs, backtracking and many other interesting areas.

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) generously supported the implementation of the Winter Camp by providing latest top computer equipment and high-tech laboratories within the University. During the Camp exercises, participants had the opportunity to meet their fellow peers from all Bosnia and Herzegovina and have fun socializing while attending lectures at two offered courses (basic and advanced courses). ''We want to support the development of young people and encourage their pioneering spirit as well as direct them towards learning more about the modern technologies and its implementation in daily tasks. Research and Development Center (RDC) will provide all the necessary support through our laboratories and equipment by allowing participants access to the best equipment for their own research.

IUS seeks to support any form of specialized training of young people so that they can be competitive not only in the labor market, but also in academic environment as students.'' - said Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel for (AA). The Camp successfully ended on Friday, when all participants were given a certificate of completion of the camp. Those who during the competition were announced best at their last day received some valuable prizes. IUS will continue to provide support in the future, for projects aimed at educating young people in BiH and the region.
