15th Ambassador Talk session held at IUS

The tradition of organizing "Ambassador Talk" sessions at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is continuing. On Wednesday, December 16, 2015, German Ambassador, HE Christian Hellbach gave a lecture at IUS, where he spoke about the ‘’German-British Joint Initiative on Bosnia and Herzegovina” and the prospects and challenges of the BiH political future. The lecture was held in a main amphitheater where professors and students eagerly awaited the ambassador's interesting lecture on the above mentioned topic. Ambassador Hellbach stressed the importance of adaptation of political stability, the purpose of unblocking the reform process and expressed his enthusiasm when it comes to submitting of BiH's application for EU membership during 2016.

At the end of the lecture, Ambassador Hellbach gave an opportunity to all interested members in audience to ask questions and learn more about this initiative, the policy of Germany and the EU policy. IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu welcomed distinguished guests with his associates in the Rectorate. Vice Rectors Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel, Secretary General of the IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić, Director of Balkan Studies Center (BSC), Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Çaksu and International Relations Office Manager (IRO), Lamija Hadžimurtezić were present at the meeting as well. His Excellency was accompanied by the First Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Natascha Garloff-Jonkers.
