14th International Symposium on Econometrics, Operations Research and Statistics held at IUS

The 14th International Symposium on Econometrics, Operations Research and Statistics (ISEOS) was held in the period from May 24th to May 27th, 2013, at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The symposium was organized by Dumlupınar University from Kütahya (Turkey) in cooperation with IUS.

The aim of this symposium is to develop a theoretical and empirical studies on econometrics, operations research and statistics, and to promote the exchange of information, as well as experience and research in these scientific areas.

The symposium also included research in the domain of application of econometric studies in international economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, industrial economics and regional economy, as well as the application of different methods and analyzes used in operational research and statistics.

ISEOS Symposium was an excellent opportunity for IUS to host highly skilled experts in economics and to have activities carried out during the four-day duration of the symposium which will definitely contribute to development and promotion of scientific research activities at IUS.

In addition to IUS academic staff, the Symposium brought together more than 300 participants from Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad as well as special guests at the conference, prominent experts and university professors: Dr. Bruce. E. Hansen from the University of Wisconsin Madison, Dr. Mehmet Caner from North Carolina State University, Dr. Jalal Ashayari from Tilburg University and Dr. Eric Gautier from the Centre de Recherche en Economie et Statistique en from Paris (France).
