On Friday, April 7, 2023, President of the Kickboxing Federation of the Republic of Turkiye and Vice President of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO), Mr. Salim Kayıcı visited the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım. The purpose of the official visit of Mr. Kayıcı to Bosnia and Herzegovina is establishing cooperation between the Kickboxing Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kickboxing Federation of the Republic of Turkiye as well as strengthening ties between these two organizations.
Prof. Yıldırım expressed his gratitude for the visit and discussed the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between IUS and Kickboxing Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This Memorandum will give particular attention to the organization of competitions for students at the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) study program in designing promotional material for the Kickboxing Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and organization of various sports activities. In addition, recording of promotional kickboxing podcasts directed by VACD students in cooperation with Sedef Media Center will be done to promote IUS and BiH Kickboxing Federation activities as well as other similar projects whose idea, objective and purpose are identical to the above-mentioned projects.
Mr. Kayıcı supported the already established cooperation between the Kickboxing Federation of BiH and IUS and highlighted that it will certainly contribute to the strengthening of future cooperation between the kickboxing organizations of these two countries. The visit to the International University of Sarajevo completed the official visit of WAKO IF and WAKO Europe Vice President and President of the Turkish Kickboxing Federation, Mr. Salim Kayıcı.
