During the visit, Rector Aydın was introduced to the comprehensive academic offerings at IUS, including its diverse faculties, innovative programs, and state-of-the-art facilities. The discussions were productive, focusing on potential avenues for collaboration that would benefit both universities and their students.
One of the key topics of discussion was the establishment of double diploma programs notably for the Faculty of Medical Sciences and its Dentistry study program, which would allow students to receive degrees recognized by both institutions, thereby enhancing their academic and professional prospects. Additionally, the leaders explored opportunities for joint research initiatives and projects, aiming to combine the expertise and resources of both universities to address global challenges in health sciences and beyond.
The proposed collaborations are expected to not only strengthen the academic ties between IUS and Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi but also provide students with enriched educational experiences, opening doors to new opportunities in their academic and professional journeys.
In an interview with BalkaNA, the Balkan News YouTube channel, Rector Aydın announced that "starting from the next academic year, 100 students will enroll in the Double Diploma program established by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between these two institutions, receiving education in Medicine and Dentistry."
