On November 5, 2024, Mr. Nijaz Avdukić, Acting Director of the FBiH Institute for Development Programming, delivered an impactful lecture at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) titled "Youth Strategy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Retaining Talent in Bosnia and Herzegovina". This event, held as part of a project funded by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Canton Sarajevo, was organized by the IUS Balkan Studies Center (BSC), the Faculty of Law (FLW), and the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA).
The Federal Institute for Development Programming is central to the economic and social policy framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a mission rooted in scientific research and global alignment, the Institute seeks to deepen the understanding of economic and social challenges facing the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its neighboring regions. This includes refining research methodologies, supporting knowledge growth, and expanding scientific resources. Its role extends to laying the analytical groundwork for development policies, steering macroeconomic programming, and coordinating key development frameworks.
Mr. Avdukić’s lecture underscored the Institute’s commitment to collaboration across academia and other sectors. By focusing on strategic approaches to retain young talent in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the event emphasized the Institute’s dedication to sustainable development and its proactive role in addressing pressing social challenges.
