The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) was honored to host Prof. Dr. Adna Mesihović, the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Canton Sarajevo, accompanied by her dedicated team, for an official visit geared towards nurturing collaboration and exploring pivotal matters within the domain of higher education.

The visit commenced with a reception led by the Rector of IUS, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, who warmly welcomed the guests alongside key university dignitaries, including the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, the Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Associate Professor Muhammed Yasir Göz, and the Secretary General, Mr. İbrahim İnal.

In light of the momentous occasion of IUS's 20th anniversary, the Rector expounded upon the achievements and advancements realized from 2004 to the present day, while also presenting forthcoming plans and initiatives, notably the introduction of innovative study programs and faculties finely tailored to align with the evolving trends of the global labor market. However, he emphasized the necessity of Ministry support in facilitating the inception of these initiatives, underlining that the provision of top-notch education to Bosnian students should stand as a mutual objective shared between IUS and the Ministry.

Furthermore, the Rector took immense pride in highlighting IUS's progress in establishing collaborative partnerships for the inception of new double diploma programs with esteemed institutions in Turkey, Germany, and Poland. Such initiatives not only enrich the academic journey but also provide students with an opportunity to gain international exposure and secure dual diplomas upon graduation, thereby augmenting their competitiveness on the global stage.

Following a highly constructive meeting, Minister Mesihović and her dedicated team were graciously guided on a comprehensive tour of the IUS campus, granting them firsthand exposure to the institution's cutting-edge facilities and resources. From state-of-the-art Research and Development Centers to meticulously equipped laboratories and studios boasting the latest technological advancements, the Minister expressed her utmost satisfaction with the infrastructure in place to foster pioneering research and facilitate unparalleled learning experiences.
