Media Centre of the Islamic Community in BiH Bolsters Collaboration with IUS

In a collaborative effort to enhance communication and promote educational initiatives, a delegation from the Media Centre of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina paid a visit to the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. The delegation, led by Media Centre Director Mr. Muamer Tinjak, included prominent figures from various media outlets.

The distinguished members of the delegation comprised Mrs. Emira Musa, Editor-in-Chief of Radio BIR; Mr. Kasim Softić, Editor-in-Chief of BIR TV; Mr. Nedim Hrbat, Director of Program; and Mr. Adnan Muminović, Editor-in-Chief of Preporod info web portal and MINA news agency.

The primary objective of the visit was to introduce the Media Centre's activities and express their wholehearted support for the promotion of the International University of Sarajevo through their diverse media channels.

During the discussions, several avenues for collaboration were explored. The delegation and IUS representatives deliberated on potential internship opportunities for students, allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience in media-related fields. Additionally, discussions centered around providing training sessions for staff through the Media Centre's Academy of Modern Communication, aiming to equip them with contemporary skills in media and communication.

Furthermore, plans for collaboration between the Media Centre and the SEDEF Balkan Media Centre were on the agenda. This collaboration aims to leverage the expertise of both institutions in fostering educational and media-related initiatives.

Mr. Muamer Tinjak, speaking on behalf of the Media Centre, emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and media outlets. He expressed the Centre's commitment to supporting the International University of Sarajevo in its endeavors and promoting academic achievements through their extensive media network.
