IUS Signs Co-Financing Agreement with Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth

The Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Canton Sarajevo organized the signing of agreements for the co-financing of scientific/artistic research and research and development projects from the Budget of the Sarajevo Canton for 2023. The contracts were signed by Minister Pavle Krstić, and representatives of the projects who received funding from the budget based on a public call. The representatives of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) who attended the signing included IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Knezović, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Benjamin Duraković, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić, Asst. Prof. Dr. Šejma Aydin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Almasa Mulalić and Dr. Nađa Beglerović.

This year's record budget of 4,250,000 KM will be distributed among a total of 452 projects. Following the principles of Sarajevo cantonal government, the funding for science, technological development, and innovation will continue to increase.

Canton Sarajevo will support and co-finance projects and programs of special interest including the introduction of programs/modules/cyclical and non-cyclical programs in foreign languages/digital portals, innovative materials that promote achievements of Bosnia and Herzegovina in science and art.

Co-financing will also cover the costs of publishing scientific articles, capacity-building programs for applying to EU research funds, book/monograph publications, conference participation, journal publishing and indexing, conference organization, etc.
