The Psychology (PSY) study program of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) is thrilled to share the success of the Crisis-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Workshop held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on November 17, 2023. This event, centered around the theme of crisis-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, brought together psychology enthusiasts, students, and graduates for a day of insightful learning and collaboration. The workshop was led by a renowned psychologist Selma Akbulut, who shared her expertise in crisis-focused cognitive behavioral therapy in an engaging and informative way.
The interactive sessions provided the participants with an active role in the practical part of the workshop, thus gaining hands-on experience in applying therapeutic techniques to crisis situations. The event was also a platform for the current students and graduates of Psychology to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community. Furthermore, by focusing on good health and well-being as well as aligning with the University's commitment to SDGs, the workshop contributed to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 3.
The success of this workshop reflects the dedication of IUS to providing a holistic and cutting-edge education in psychology. By offering events that connect students and graduates with industry experts, the University continues to shape compassionate and skilled professionals in the field.
We extend our gratitude to all participants, our esteemed instructor, Ms. Selma Akbulut, and everyone who contributed to making this event a success. Stay tuned for more updates on future events, workshops, and opportunities within the IUS Psychology study program.
Thank you for being a part of this enriching experience. Together, we continue to nurture minds and shape the future.
