The International University of Sarajevo is delighted to announce the remarkable achievement of its student, Aiša Muhić, who clinched the third-place award in the Youth category of the prestigious 2023 International Essay Contest for Young People. Aiša, with her thought-provoking essay titled "Cuius regio, eius religio? - From Blood-Stained Bridges to a Bright Future: Uniting Youth for a Better Tomorrow," emerged as one of the distinguished winners among 20,674 entries from 168 countries.
This globally renowned contest, organized by the Goi Peace Foundation and conducted with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, centered around the theme "Youth Creating a Peaceful Future" for the year 2023. This annual essay competition serves as a dynamic platform to channel the energy, creativity, and initiative of young individuals worldwide, all working towards the shared goal of fostering a culture of peace and sustainable development. Moreover, it aims to ignite inspiration within society, urging us all to draw insights from the imaginative perspectives of our youth and consider how each one of us can contribute to positive change on a global scale.
