Returning to his hometown, Kahramanmaraş, Ahmet wasted no time in advancing his career. Participating in various training programs, he had the opportunity to practically apply his knowledge of psychology. His journey led him to the Altay Barracks in Malatya, where he provided counseling services to 1,500 personnel within the Turkish Armed Forces. The experience served as a springboard for his professional development, offering insights into the practical aspects of organizational psychology.

The challenges faced in the region during his service prompted Ahmet to reflect on the contributions of his education at IUS. The cultural diversity and global educational system had laid a significant foundation for his sociological observations, emphasizing the interconnectedness of knowledge and its real-world applications.

In his current role as a psychologist, Ahmet collaborates with international organizations, including the Alliance of International Doctors and Humedica International Aid Organization. Operating in earthquake-prone areas, he provides psychotherapy services to victims. The impact of his work became especially evident following the earthquake on February 6, 2023, in Kahramanmaraş.

Ahmet's active participation in events and activities during his time at IUS, coupled with the mentorship of dedicated professors, enhanced his organizational skills. Becoming a part of the Erasmus student exchange program was a turning point, allowing him to explore diverse cultures, fostering personal growth, and becoming a global ambassador for both himself and his university.

Beyond graduation, Ahmet maintains a strong bond with fellow graduates through continuous communication. Their WhatsApp group serves as a platform to discuss developments in the field, share professional experiences, and collaborate on various academic article projects. Together, they address significant issues in the field, contributing to the community's recovery process after traumatic events.

Ahmet emphasizes that university education is not confined to obtaining a diploma. It is a transformative journey where individuals discover themselves, uncover their talents, and build a network of connections. For Ahmet Kepek, this journey has not only shaped his professional success but has become a testament to the positive impact an enriched education can have on individuals and the communities they serve.
