Addressing Corruption in Bosnia’s Building Sector: IUS FLW Faculty Contributes to Global Sustainable Development

We are pleased to announce that professors from the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) have recently contributed a book chapter published by the globally renowned publisher Springer.

In an effort to address ongoing social challenges that hinder sustainability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the FLW professors and assistants focused on the issue of corruption in the construction sector. Their chapter, titled "State of Affairs in Building in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Corruption Check (and/or) Mate," is the result of a collaborative effort by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kenan Ademović, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ena Kazić-Çakar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mirza Ljubović, and Senior Assistant Dr. Hana Şarkinović-Köse.

The book, "Interdisciplinary Advances in Sustainable Development III," represents a forward-thinking initiative aimed at advancing scientific research in sustainable development. It integrates diverse fields such as environmental science, urban planning, civil engineering, economics, law, and social policy. By blending theoretical insights with practical solutions, the book offers a comprehensive view on sustainable development, ensuring that readers gain a well-rounded understanding of this vital subject.
