IUS students visited UNDP

IUS Ögrencileri Birlesmis Milletler Kalkinma Programi’ni Ziyaret Ettiler

On Tuesday, March 24th, 2015, students from Global Environmental Issues course, at International Relations and Diplomacy department of IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), with Senior Assistant Nerkez Opačin, visited headquarter of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Sarajevo. The aim of the visit was to inform students about the importance of the mission of UNDP Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This visit has been coordinated and organized by Hamza Preljević, senior year student at the department of International Relations and Diplomacy. 

Through the presentation, given by Mr. Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resistance Coordinator, students learn more about the UNDP and its system, functions and tasks, and to get more familiar with the activities of UNDP in region, in particular in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the introduction of the general framework of UNDP; the experts from United Nation Environmental Program (UNDP) gave a presentation to IUS students related to the environmental issues in the world and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the constructive discussions, the students were able to ask different questions. After the visit, the UNDP representatives were invited to visit IUS in the future and hold lectures on the topics related to the UNDP.
