International Turkish Congress held from May 23rd to May 27th, 2016, at International University of Sarajevo (IUS). On this occasion, Turkish Language and Turkish Culture were discussed in an international academic environment.
Turkey, which spread over a wide geographical area throughout history, has been exchanging the language and the culture with other nations throughout history. Turkish, which is one of the world's ancient languages, is spoken constantly with various dialects and accents from Kashgar to Balkans, Siberian to Tibet by a population of over 200 million. The language which is an essential element of the culture is expanding in recent years and we are increasingly approached to our goal of becoming a world language.
IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu expressed his happiness on behalf of University to host valuable guests in a precious city of Balkans, Sarajevo.
